Books in Animals in Danger series

This book introduces readers to a range of endangered animals found in North America. Readers learn basic facts about each animal, and also why the animal’s habitat is threatened. The book also considers what people can do to help, both at an international level and at the level of the readers themselves. It follows the tiger through its daily life, looking at its appearance, behaviour, habitat and special characteristics. It then explains why the animal is in danger, what the danger is, and what measures are being taken to restrict or prevent the danger. Care is taken to show the difference between danger from humans and the environment, and the "natural" danger animals face in the wild.
